little ray of sunshine
it's been cloudy and about 55 degrees here the last 4 or 5 days...and appropriately so given my discontent at work this week and matt being out of town.
yoga class was about to start last night and we were all getting situated. just before melanie began class, the clouds parted and there was a burst of sunshine flooding the studio for a minute or two...and then it was gone. what a brilliant and timely thing to happen seconds before class started...
it really set the tone for class. i have an instructional mp3 sequence i use sometimes to practice at home, and it suggests that you choose an intention or person to dedicate your practice to that day. that little ray of sunshine inspired me to dedicate my practice last night to bringing as much of that sunshine inward amidst the little cloud that seems to be hovering over me this week...and it seemed to work, at least until i returned to work this morning.
