plans for holiday gifting

I admire that attitude a lot - I always hated that christmas is about presents, too, because I was raised to be very non-materialistic but at the same time I looove giving people gifts. I just love the detail, thought and care that goes into it and knowing that the person will genuinely like it.

Great ideas - you must be really resourceful too (I'm kind of envious!). I'm buying mostly vintage and homemade via Etsy because I'm not as talented (yet). J and I decided to figure out something we both want and put money into that -I think we're adopting two kittens- as a gift to each other. I already cheated and bought him a little something as a project I'm going to give him (so hard not to!!)

I definitely relate to the student loan debt, etc. But hey, we are being smart now and that's what counts. Lay down the good rules and they'll stick :)

thanks :) these things are actually really easy to make but they're time consuming and sometimes a little messy. you can find all the ingredients at craft and grocery stores. i got the recipes for the bath fizzies and the sugar scrub on martha stewarts website :)

good luck with the kitties...that'll be a fun present for both of you!

Could you post how-to's, if you get the chance? I used to make things a lot, but as time became more and more of a precious commodity, I stopped making things with as much frequency... and I miss it.

Thanks for this post, it snapped me back to reality - I was starting to freak out about buying more presents :(

the how-to's have been posted, just in case you missed it!

happy crafting.
