matt's home. i don't think i've ever been more happy to see anyone in my entire life...sounds ridiculous and sappy, right? unfortunately, it barely scratches of the surface of how i really feel.

i was giggling like a little girl.

p.s. the beef stroganoff i made was out of this world and he loved it, which was all i could've asked for.

the early part of the weekend amounts to nothing spectacular...no exciting engagements, just me and my swiffer.

tonight and tomorrow afternoon i'm committing myself to cleaning. i want the apartment to be in the best shape possible when matt comes home on sunday afternoon, not that it's normally a dump or anything, but the home-sick-ness in his voice last night was sad and i want everything to be perfect when he comes home. i'm also making an over the top beef stroganoff (it's his favorite).

he sounded so unhappy and i think the thrill of playing in gross dingy punk rock bars and sleeping on random people's floors has worn off. the place they played last night in DC was apparently full of roaches and so was the place where they were going to sleep, so matt was planning on sleeping in the van. i want him home, sleeping in our bed.

as soon as he comes home, my blog posts will revert back to being about more than matt. it's just all i have on my mind right now and i can't really process things unrelated to preparing the house for when he comes home and the fact that i miss him terribly.

anyway, back to my lackluster weekend: my newly single best friend is starved for male attention and i hate watching it. it's not like she's sleeping around or anything, but she leads them all on...every one of them. they don't have a chance and she knows it from day one. she just likes the attention. a few of them are really nice though and i don't want to see them get hurt, they don't deserve it. you're probably wondering what this has to do with anything...on saturday night i'm supposed to go out with her, along with a few friends and the most recent poor sap that she has in her claws. i'm not that excited.

i must me a damned good wingman...or wingperson or whatever.
